PROJECT PERMIT APPLICATION OVERVIEW, AUG.3, 2009
Innovative Marine Solutions, LLC (IMS) was recently contracted to provide the planning and acquire the permitting for the above project, which includes the permanent mooring of a barge (Enviro-Dock), four floating gardens and a turtle basking platform in dry dock no.1 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, as described in the attached project description.
As this project is within the waters of the Delaware River, IMS prepared a “Joint Application for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 Permit and PA Water Obstruction And Encroachment Permit”.
Prior to preparing the application, IMS scheduled a pre-application conference with the PADEP and the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers to review all application requirements clarify specific application requirements.
IMS prepared and submitted the application package, which consisted of the following documents and supplements as required.
During the application process, IMS consulted with the PADEP and USACE representatives on technical and administrative issues to ensure the proper preparation and submission of the application. The application is presently under review by the agencies.
